A bet for the Habs could make you win a lot of money
Who says return of major sports, also says return of sports betting! For the occasion, the renowned french sports and recreational site Balle Courbe had its eyes sharp on Friday afternoon. Loto-Québec has published the performance ratings for sports betting for the National Hockey League playoffs.
Considered one of the two worst teams to qualify for the playoffs, Habs could make you win big if the team rises and win all five rounds of the 2020 series.
By finishing 12th of Eastern conference, experts consider that the Habs' chances of winning the Stanley Cup are lower than those of winning the Alexis Lafrenière lottery. In reality, the performance rating is currently 75 times the stake of the bettor. Only the Chicago Blackhawks have better odds with 90 times the stake.
Which team is favorite?
It's nothing very surprising if I tell you that the 2019 Stanley Cup finalists are the favorites. After an exceptional season, the Boston Bruins would be the squad that has the best chance of capturing the legacy of Lord Stanley. The bet is however less lucrative than that of the Canadiens. The return would be six times your stake. You could bet a nice amount and pocket a nice sum, but the risk is very present when you know the homogeneity of the Bettman circuit.
