Josh Morrissey of the Winnipeg Jets managed to get off a blistering slapper from just inside the blueline. Marchand was ready for the block, although he probably wishes he had let goaltender Jeremy Swayman handled this one, because Morrissey's whistler caught him right in the groin.

While Marchand needed some time on the bench to recover, he did finish the game. adding an empty netter with less than a minute left in the third as the Bruins defeated the red hot Winnipeg Jets 4-1.
