HEARTBREAKING: Avalanche Grant a Beautiful Make-A-Wish for Cancer Patient

Make-A-Wish organizations routinely make dreams come true for individuals with terminal illnesses. On Sunday, the organization made another wish come true.

12-year-old Jackie Bateman lives with brain cancer and is a huge Colorado Avalanche fan. She was granted a day with the Avalanche as part of her Make-A-Wish dream, which, in her own words, was:

Jackie was able to watch the team practice from the bench and a few of the Avalanche players came over to talk to her.

Avalanche forward Logan O'Connor said this of the interaction:

Jackie's favourite player was Nathan MacKinnon and he made sure to surprise her after the practice. He signed a stick for her that read: Your Pal.

She was also granted a stall in the dressing room right beside MacKinnon. What she said about it:
