The players around the league have voted, and the results for the Ted Lindsay Award are in. The three finalists for the award are Edmonton Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl, Colorado Avalanche forward Nathan MacKinnon, and New York Rangers forward Artemi Panarin.

It comes as no surprise that these three are the finalists for this award. The Ted Lindsay is arguably the most important individual regular season award for a player, as it is given to the league's most outstanding player, and is voted on by players throughout the league. Last season's winner was Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov.

As for who wins it this year, it is tough to determine, as all three players had outstanding seasons. Draisaitl had 110 points in just 71 games, to lead the league by a wide margin in scoring. MacKinnon also had a great season and would've broken the 100-point barrier for the first time in his career if it weren't for the season being cancelled due to COVID-19, as he had 93 points in just 69 games. Last but certainly not least is Panarin, who had 95 points in 69 games.

The results of this award and all other awards around the league will not be announced until after the Stanley Cup Playoffs come to an end. They are expected to begin in early August, with teams training camps having just begun yesterday. All three of the players nominated for the Ted Lindsay will be competing in the 24-team playoff format.
