As we inch closer to the NHL's Return To Play in early August, the reigning Stanley Cup Champion St. Louis Blues look to boost their line-up, with the return of star winger Vladimir Tarasenko, who was activated off the injured reserve on Monday.

The 28-year-old was injured in late October, against the Los Angeles Kings. After leaving the game, Tarasenko would undergo shoulder surgery just five days later.

His anticipated recovery time was five months.

Though he was close to a return in mid-March, Tarasenko would be unable to do so, amidst the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) that brought play to a halt on March 12th.

It's reported that the Russian native has been on the ice through Phase 2 sessions, and skated - without restriction- during the teams first training camp on Monday. He will be eligible to return to game play on August 2nd, against the Colorado Avalanche.

Tarasenko commented on his return to the line up;

"I got some extra time for recovery and practice to make (the shoulder) more strong.

Everything is good. You start slow, you start with the basics, do some exercises where you remember the feeling."
