Some absolutely fantastic news today, as Philadelphia Flyers forward Oskar Lindblom got to ring the bell to signal the end of his cancer treatment.

Lindblom, 23, was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma in December of 2019. The Finnish forward was having his best season to date at the time, with 11 goals and 18 points in 30 games. As a result of the diagnosis, he was unable to skate up until last week, where he was spotted practicing with his Flyers teammates as they get ready for the upcoming playoffs.

“I can't even explain how I feel,” said Lindblom. “Feels like having my birthday, Christmas and all those holidays at the same time. Feels awesome to be done. Can't wait to get back to normal life again and feel like I'm living.”

Of course, it seems extremely unlikely he will participate in this year's post season, but the fact he has overcome this is simply outstanding, and serves as an inspiration to many others out there battling these terrible diseases.
