Players are beginning to return to their NHL cities ahead of 2020-21 season

Details are slowly starting to trickle in regarding the 2020-21 NHL season, and we now have a few reports stating that players are beginning to return to their NHL cities to begin a 14-day quarantine period.

According to Senators insider Bruce Garrioch, Colin White, Josh Norris, Brady Tkachuk, Joey Daccord, Nikita Zaitsev, Austin Watson, and Magnus Hogberg have arrived in Ottawa over the last several days to begin their quarantine. It also appears that three other Senators are back in Ottawa. Via Filip Chlapik's Instagram story, himself, Christian Wolanin, and Logan Brown have returned to the nation's capital.

Joshua Marshall, founder and host of the "2 Mutts Podcast" is reporting that the seven teams who weren't involved in the NHL's return to play format in the summer will begin a three-week training camp on December 27th. All other NHL teams will report for training camp on January 2nd in preparation of a January 15th start to the season.

Marshall also reported that he's hearing a number of players are being told to return to their NHL cities, including Connor McDavid, who returned to Edmonton on Saturday night.

More details will likely be announced officially some time this week. This is extremely encouraging news for NHL fans across the world. Having the NHL return for its 2020-21 season will help bring back a bit of normalcy to what's been going on in the world this year.
