Flames sign RFA forward Adam Ruzicka to a multi-year deal
Training camps around the National Hockey League are set to get underway today and tomorrow. Heading into Wednesday, there were still seven RFA's still unsigned, but that number has now dropped to six.
The Calgary Flames announced that they've agreed to terms on a two-year contract worth $1.525 million ($762,500 AAV) with restricted free agent forward Adam Ruzicka. Ruzicka's contract will be two-way in the first year and one-way in the second year.
Ruzicka, a native of Bratislava (Slovakia), was drafted by the Flames in the fourth round in 2017. He made the jump to professional hockey in 2019 after parts of three seasons in the Ontario Hockey League.
The 23-year-old spent the majority of the 2021-22 season in the NHL with Calgary, putting up ten points (five goals, five assists), eight penalty minutes and was a plus-eight in 28 games. He also appeared in 16 games for Stockton in the AHL, tallying 20 points.
