The Minnesota Wild have announced that they have traded Dmitry Kulikov to the Anaheim Ducks for future considerations. Frank Seravalli had the scoop first:

Kulikov played one season for the Wild, posting a +23 rating with 24 points. The Russian blue liner carries a cap hit of $2.25 million, which is apparently too rich for Wild GM Bill Guerin, who is going to be bootstrapped to Ryan Suter and Zach Parise's combined $12+ million over the next three years.

After being selected 14th overall by the Florida Panthers, Kulikov has skated in 805 NHL games, producing 198 points. He has always been a strong two-way defender, and he should provide some stability for Anaheim's blue line.

Minnesota is left with $5.7 million heading into 2022-23, whereas Anaheim has the third-most cap space with just under $17 million. Kulikov should skate on the Ducks' second pair, which is a solid deal considering what they sent in return.
