Arguably the player with the most trade rumors heading into the offseason was Coyotes defenseman Jakob Chychrun. Yet, he still has not been moved away from Arizona. Here are some of the teams that could be interested in trading for the young defenseman.

Anaheim Ducks

The Ducks could be an intriguing option for a couple of reasons. The team could use a left handed defenseman in order to replace the departure of Hampus Lindholm, who was traded to Boston last season. The team already has John Klingberg, Cam Fowler, and John Klingberg in their top-four, and adding Chychrun would only boost their core even more.

Los Angeles Kings

The Kings seemed like they had a chance to be contenders for a deep playoff run last season until top defenseman Drew Doughty went down with a wrist injury. The team still snuck into the playoffs, but they were not the same without Doughty. Adding in Chychrun to a team that already added a stud forward in Kevin Fiala seems like a recipe for success in Los Angeles.

Ottawa Senators

The Ottawa Senators may be the most intriguing team on the list to acquire Chychrun. The team already went out and brought Claude Giroux, Alex DeBrincat, and Cam Talbot this summer. Adding in Chychrun to a d-core that will boast Thomas Chabot, Erik Brannstrom, and Jake Sanderson for the coming future would give the Sens one of the top future groups of defensemen in the NHL.

Toronto Maple Leafs

The Leafs are looking for that extra piece to get them past the first round of the playoffs. Of course, acquiring Chychrun would come with a hefty price, but a possible solution to this would be giving up forward William Nylander. Toronto seems to have plenty of offense provided by a core of Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner, and John Tavares. Meanwhile adding to the back-end seems like it would help the team a little more rather than keeping Nylander.
