Last season, many expected Kakko to take the next step in his development and become a legitimate top-six forward, but unfortunately a wrist injury kept him out of 31 games during the regular. In 43 games, he put up eighteen points and added five points in nineteen games during the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
With his attention turned to the 2022-23 season, Kakko has been preparing for the new campaign in his home country of Finland. On Monday, a video was posted of Kakko taking an impressive slap-shot that was recorded at a speed of 172 km/h (106.8 mph). Check it out below!
