A day after American Thanksgiving Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand is livid with the concussion spotter that worked the game between his Bruins and the New York Rangers. Marchand was taken out of the game and escorted to the quiet room at the tail end of the second period.

The spotter deemed Marchand unfit to return to duty in the third. After the game Marchand had a few choice words for the Concussion spotter: "That's embarrassing. The guy up there is busy eating pizza and cheeseburgers and can't watch the game. Maybe next time he'll pull his head out of his butt and watch the game."

Will this be a recurring issue when it comes to NHL superstars? Let's certainly hope not, with the fast paced live NHL action we all know and love we can understand where the spotters are coming from. Players should remain vigilant, and praise the off ice personnel who do their best night in and night out over the course of the season to keep the safety of the players at the forefront of their minds.
