It was announced by the NHL Department of Player Safety on Monday that Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Erik Cernak would have a hearing following an elbow to the head of Buffalo Sabres defenseman Rasmus Dahlin.

The NHL Department of Player Safety held the meeting on Tuesday and it was ruled and announced that Cernak will serve a two game suspension for the high elbow on Dahlin.
The hit, which did not draw a penalty, resulted in a concussion for the young Buffalo defenseman.
