Michal Jordan, a Czech defenseman, who played with the Carolina Hurricanes during Bill Peters tenure there, has tweeted that even at the NHL level, Peters displayed completely inappropriate, violent behaviour.

Peters coached the Hurricanes from 2014 till 2018, when he was replaced by Rod Brind'Amour. Jordan had stints with the Canes in 2014-15 and 15-16. According to him, Peters kicked him on the bench and punched another Canes player during a game. Peters never apologized for that either.

Jordan is now playing in KHL for Amur Khabarovsk. He was a 4th round draft pick of the Canes back in 2008.

Frank Seravalli of TSN has done more work and it appears there were multiple violent outbursts with Peters behind the Canes bench. There is also at least one player who has corroborated the story while remaining anonymous.

Another player is making allegations that Peters hurled several racial slurs at him while he was coaching the Rockford IceHogs 10 years ago. Calgary is conducting a thorough investigation of the allegations and will make a decision on whether Peters keeps his coaching job with the team once that is done.
