The Kings are going to be without D Alec Martinez for an unknown duration.

Already flailing at the bottom of the Western Conference, the team has lost the man who scored the series-winning goal of the 2014 Stanley Cup Finals. The 32-year old Martinez had just 5 assists this year in 24 games, though his +/- was a respectable -1, considering the Kings struggles.

He suffered a laceration of the right wrist last night against the Sharks and had surgery to repair the damage sometime after. He is expected to recover, though the timetable is iffy. He will evaluated weekly.
