Down 5-1 late in the third period, it was almost guaranteed that Eastern Russian KHL team Amur Khabarovsk was going to lose Monday's game against the Dynamo Moscow. With just over six minutes left in regulation, Amur Khabarovsk head coach Alexander Gulyavtsev began to lose his cool.

Gulyavtsev, surely frustrated with his team's performance, escalated from questioning calls on the ice to actually threatening the referees. Camera's caught the scene, in which the head coach was heard shouting from the bench to the referee Viktor Gashilov, ironically enough while Amur were on a power play.

One the of the many comments made was loosely translated to "I'll set your car on fire in [our hometown of]Perm." Both Gulyavtsev and Gashilov are both from Perm.

Following the statement, Gulyavtsev was assessed a two-minute minor penalty for abuse of officials and unsportsmanlike conduct. Through the game, penalty calls had been even up to this point, with each team having served ten minutes.

The penalty would be served, the game would end with Dynamo winning by a final score of 5-1 after a big push in the second period, in which they found the back of the net three times. The win would bring their record to 10-10 and place them second in their division. Amur would fall to 7-12 on the season and now sit near the bottom of their division.

After the game, Gulyavtsev claimed that the words were as a result of emotion, but only meant as a joke said to a person from the same town. "I have a good relationship with Gashilov," he claimed. "But I don't even know what car he drives at Perm. It's a shame this leaked to the media, it was just an emotional outburst."
