Pittsburgh defenseman Brian Dumoulin will miss the next two games with a lower-body injury. He joins a long list of injured Penguins that includes Alex Galchenyuk, Evgeni Malkin, Jared McCann, Nick Bjugstad, Bryan Rust and Zach Trotman.

The NHL's Three Stars of the Week for the period ending October 20th are Boston's David Pastrnak, Washington's John Carlson and Buffalo's Carter Hutton.

In addition to Tyler Seguin's home that he wasn't living in being destroyed in a tornado in Dallas, Ben Bishop's property also sustained damage. He and his family are fine and he is expected to be at tonight's game.

Meanwhile, Jamie Benn talked about lending Bishop and hand after the tornado went through. It's being reported that Bishop, his wife and his child spent the night at Benn's house.

Both Toronto's Andreas Johnsson and Josh Anderson of Columbus will play tonight as the Leafs face the Blue Jackets. Johnsson is now fine after leaving Saturday's 4-3 overtime victory over the Boston Bruins when he blocked a Brandon Carlo slap shot with his left leg. Anderson missed the past six games with a reported shoulder injury suffered at Pittsburgh on October 5th.

And Alexis Lafreniere, who is projected to go 1st overall in the next NHL entry draft, is absolutely tearing it up with the Rimouski Océanic of the QMJHL. After another five point game Sunday, he now has 34 points in 13 games.

The Minnesota Wild were expecting a bad season in this partial rebuild. They did not expect their 251 game sellout streak to end, two home games into the season. The announced attendance last night was still a healthy 17,344.

Speaking of the Wild, it looks like they may have Mats Zuccarello back quicker than they thought.

Good news for the Blue Jackets, as Josh Anderson will make his return to the lineup tonight. He missed six games with the dreaded UBI.

Ryan Spooner, formerly of the Bruins, Rangers, and Oilers, is moving again. HC Lugano of the Swiss League and Dinamo Minsk reached an agreement, with Lugano releasing Spooner from his contract and allowing him to join the team from Belarus in the KHL. Spooner had played only two games with Lugano, picking up one assist.

Konstantiv Okulov, the 24-year-old star of CSKA Moscow of the KHL spoke about the news that he was drawing interest from the Maple Leafs and the Canadiens. "It's nice to know that people in the NHL know about me, but I can't say I've met or communicated with anyone. This is the first time I'm hearing that Mike Babcock called me." Okulov also said that he ahsn't thought about leaving for the NHL and will consider it after the season.
