Formal training camps began on Monday as part of Phase 3 of the NHL's Return to Play Plan. The Canadiens have returned to train as a team, but on Tuesday one notable player was missing. Canadiens captain, Shea Weber, was not on the ice with his teammates.

Club officials have reported that Weber was unable to practice. Due to regulations set by the NHL, teams are not permitted to disclose information regarding players' injuries or illnesses during this time.

Weber took to the ice to skate and shoot pucks alone after the team finished their one-hour practice. Coach Claude Julien told reporters that he is not able to share why Weber missed the team's practice, but he anticipates that Weber will be joining the team on Wednesday.
