Flyers-Bruins Features Pair of Fights after Connor Carrick Levels Antoine Roussel (VIDEO)
First day of inter squad preseason matches, and we already have a pair of tilts in the books. Philadelphia and Boston are two teams who rarely shy away from the physical side of hockey, and tonight showed it.
Connor Carrick lined up Antoine Roussel, which spiced the game up. A pair of fights followed shortly after. Well, one and a half.
Carrick and Wade Allison were going to throw down, but Carrick's stick was entangled in the two. Next, A.J. Greer took exception with a hit he received from Flyers' forward Hayden Hodgson.
Philadelphia is going to have a mean team in 2022-23, so expect to see many Flyers games look like this. Nic Deslauriers, Zack MacEwan, Rasmus Ristolainen, plus a handful of tough guys in the minors. Under John Tortorella, the Flyers will have a much different identity than in recent years.
