Boston sports radio host claps back at notion suggesting Pastrnak wants out
Yesterday, Czech analytic gurus Andy & Rono created quite the buzz online when they sent out a tweet suggesting David Pastrnak isn't a rush to sign an extension, and went on to say they believe it could result in bad news for the Boston Bruins.
This isn't the first time this has been reported this offseason, making it seem like there could be at least some sort of truth to the rumors. The 26-year-old currently has just one-year remaining on his contract, and would become a free agent next summer if he doesn't agree to an extension. Despite the reports, however, well known Boston radio host Michael Felger, who is one half of the Felger & Mazz show, let it be known on Wednesday he doesn't expect Pastrnak to be going anywhere.
Felger's full rant can be found at the link down below, but what he is insinuating is that while Andy & Rono suggested Pastrnak wants to go where he can win, the truth is that the player will stay where he's comfortable if he gets the contract he feel he deserves.
Felger did also make the good point in that it seems any Bruins players who have come up in the organization very rarely want to leave. For example, guys like Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand and David Krejci all seem to love it in Boston, as did Zdeno Chara who was essentially forced to leave due to not being offered a new contract. Nevertheless, it is a situation worth keeping an eye on as the 2022-23 season approaches.
