Calgary Flames: ranking the top-ten prospects in their system

With rookie tournaments around the National Hockey League getting underway in less than four weeks, it's time to take a look at the top-ten prospects on each of the 32 teams.

Multiple different sources use different criteria for their rankings as to what players classify as a prospect. For my lists over the next couple of weeks, I will be using Corey Pronman's guide from 2019, as that's the most updated I could find. For Pronman's guide, he uses the following two requirements:

- A player is considered a prospect if: he has played less than 25 games in one campaign.

- Less than 50 games total in their career.

Next team up is the Calgary Flames. Let's take a look at the ten best prospects in their system, starting with number ten and counting down to number one.

10. Martin Pospisil (C) - Drafted: 2018 (4/105).

7. Jack Beck (LW) - Drafted: 2021 (6/168).

2021-22 stats: Ottawa (OHL) - 36 GP - 22 G - 22 A - 44 PTS.

6. Rory Kerins (C) - Drafted: 2020 (6/174).

2021-22 stats: Sault Ste. Marie (OHL) - 67 GP - 43 G - 75 A - 118 PTS.

5. Cole Schwindt (C) - Traded to Calgary on July 22nd.

2021-22 stats: Florida (NHL) - 3 GP - 0 G - 0 A - 0 PTS/Charlotte (AHL) - 72 GP - 19 G - 21 A - 40 PTS.

4. Jakob Pelletier (LW) - Drafted: 2019 (1/26).

2021-22 stats: Stockton (AHL) - 66 GP - 27 G - 35 A - 62 PTS.

3. Dustin Wolf (G) - Drafted: 2019 (7/214).

2021-22 stats: Stockton (AHL) - 47 GP - 33 W - 9 L - 4 OTL, 2.35 GAA, .924 save percentage.

2. Matt Coronato (RW) - Drafted: 2021 (1/13).

2021-22 stats: Harvard (NCAA) - 34 GP - 18 G - 18 A - 36 PTS.

1. Connor Zary (C) - Drafted: 2020 (1/24).

2021-22 stats: Stockton (AHL) - 53 GP - 13 G - 12 A - 25 PTS.
