According to the Athletic's Michael Russo, Walker has signed a two-year, entry-level contract with the Minnesota Wild.
Walker grew up in Edina, Minnesota, and had quite the career at the college level. He was named captain for his sophomore year and was deemed with the title ever since. He tallied 112 points in 144 games, while putting up 14 goals and 13 assists in 39 games his senior year.
At 23-years-old, Walker still has time to develop into a decent bottom-six forward with a scoring touch. He was originally drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the seventh round of the 2017 NHL Draft.
