According to reports this morning, Sharks forward Evander Kane will not receive a suspension for his elbow on Washington Capitals defenseman, Radko Gudas. Instead, he has been fined $5,000, which is the maximum allowable amount under the League's CBA.
The incident took place in the third period of Tuesday night's matchup against the visiting Washington Capitals.

This is Kane's second infraction of the season. He served a three-game suspension at the start of the year following a preseason incident with linesman, Kiel Murchison.
Kane has 13 goals and 23 points in 26 games this season.
