Nashville's Ryan Johansen has been fined the maximum allowable amount under the NHL's collective bargaining agreement for elbowing Tampa Bay's Brayden Point during a game Tuesday night. He will forfeit $5,000 as a result.

It happened during the second period of the game with the Lightning up 2-1. Johansen was tracking a puck to the right of his goaltender Pekka Rinne in Nashville's defensive zone at the time. Johansen received a five-minute major for the elbow that left Point bloodied. He was also ejected from the game. Tampa Bay would go on to win 3-2.
This is the second time Johansen has been disciplined by the NHL's Department of Player Safety. He was suspended two games in January for a reckless slash to the head of Mark Scheifele of the Winnipeg Jets. You can view the elbow below.
