The Pittsburgh Penguins are running out of bodies.

With news that Patrick Hornqvist, who was injured in practice on Monday will be out long term, and with Sidney Crosby, Bryan Rust, Zach Aston-Reese, Nick Bjugstad, Justin Schultz, and Brian Dumoulin on the shelf, the Pens had to reach deep to find bodies for practice skating on Tuesday.

According to multiple sources, 51-year-old Hall of Fame and current Pens assistant coach Mark recchi stepped up to skate with the fourth line. The former member of the Flyers" Legion of Doom" line had been in retirement since the 2010-11 season. He was part of five Stanley Cup winning teams, three as a player and two more as a player development coach with the Pens.
