The Vegas Golden Knights acquired forward Chandler Stephenson from the Washington Capitals late Monday evening.
Stephenson was drafted in the 3rd round (77th overall) in 2012 by the Caps. The Saskatoon, SASK native has split time between the Caps and their AHL affiliate, the Hershey Bears, currently in his 7th pro season.
The 25-year-old has suited up in 168 regular season contests for the Caps, along with 30 playoff appearances.
The Caps will receive a 5th-round draft pick in 2021 as compensation.
