As of Thursday afternoon, it has been announced via Jesse Granger from The Athletic that Vegas Golden Knights forward Valentin Zykov has been reassigned to the Chicago Wolves (AHL.)

Since his 20-game suspension ended on Wednesday, it has been heavily speculated where Zykov would end up. Rumors of a potential trade, rejoining the Vegas Golden Knights line-up and reassignment to AHL Chicago have all been discussed as possible options.

Wednesday morning, the young Russian forward was placed on waivers, which he cleared at 9 a.m. (PT) on Thursday. It was announced shortly thereafter that Zykov had been assigned by the Vegas Golden Knights' AHL affiliate Chicago Wolves.

Zykov is expected to join the Wolves before their next game, Friday November 29th against the Rockford Ice Hogs.
