The Boston Bruins announced today that the team has signed forwards, Charlie Coyle and Chris Wagner to multi-year extensions.

Coyle, signed a six-year contract, which will run through the 2025-26 season with an annual cap hit of $5.25 million, and Wagner's new contract is for three years through 2022-23, with a cap hit of $1.35 million per season.

Coyle was originally a first round pick by the San Jose Sharks in 2010, but was traded to the Minnesota Wild in exchange for Brent Burns, before he could crack the Sharks' roster. He would go onto play 7 seasons with the Wild before being dealt to the Bruins at last season's trade deadline. He finished fifth on the team in playoff scoring last season, when the Bruins came within one win of the Stanley Cup. The 27 year old has 5 goals and 14 points in 24 games with the Bruins this season, and in 524 career games, he has recorded 98 goals, and 262 points.

Wagner was drafted 122nd overall by the Anaheim Ducks in 2010, and has spent parts of 8 NHL seasons with the Ducks, Colorado Avalanche, New York Islanders, and Boston Bruins. He has recorded 30 goal and 53 points in 273 career games. In the 2018 off season, he was signed by the Bruins as a free agent, and went onto set new careers highs the following season, with 12 goals and 19 points in 76 games. Now in his second season as a Bruin, he has registered 1 goal and 5 points in 23 games.
