The Toronto Maple Leafs continue to roll under Sheldon Keefe, defeating the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday in Denver in what was the first matchup between the two teams since the big trade that sent Nazem Kadri to the Avs, with Alexander Kerfoot and Tyson Barrie heading to the Leafs.
The aforementioned Kerfoot made waves in the contest when he shoved former teammate Erik Johnson dangerously from behind, causing Johnson to go crashing into the boards, head first, resulting in a 2-minute boarding call.

The League has deemed, Sunday, that the hit is worthy of a meeting with the Department of Player Safety, which could find Kerfoot suspended.
Fortunately, Johnson was not injured on the play, but there is no place in the game for this type of play. While Kerfoot is not a dirty player, he certainly has to know better than to hit a guy in the numbers like that.
