It's pretty clear Vegas Golden Knights fans don't like Evander Kane of the San Jose Sharks. The rivalry between him, the team, and Vegas forward Ryan Reaves is very well documented. But fans in Vegas took the rivalry to a whole new level Thursday night, taunting Kane over a recent lawsuit that has been filed in Las Vegas which alleges Kane did not pay back money he borrowed from a casino while gambling there.
Earlier this month, the Cosmopolitan Casino filed a lawsuit in Clark County District Court for $500,000 US, claiming the 28-year-old Vancouver native failed to pay back gambling markers when the Sharks were in town in late April of this year. Fans in Vegas weren't about to let go of an opportunity to take a dig at Kane over it, chanting "pay your markers" during Thursday night's game. Check it out below and make sure your sound is up.

In an addition to the $500,000, the Cosmopolitan is also seeking repayment of legal fees. None of the allegations has been proven in court. Why Kane, who is in the second year of a seven-year, $49 million contract, would fail to pay back the money, if the allegations are indeed true, is a bit of a mystery. He and his lawyers have not yet responded to the lawsuit with an official court filing. In the meantime, we're sure this chant is bound to pop up again the next time Kane comes to Vegas.
