In the Blues 4-1 loss against the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday, there was a scrum behind the Anaheim net after John Gibson left the crease to play the active puck.

As Gibson played the puck, St. Louis forward Oskar Sundqvist came around the left side and collided with the netminder, knocking him hard onto the ice.

Though some spectators have commented that Sundqvist seemingly tried to minimize the contact, it was a hard hit and naturally, a brawl ensued in the aftermath.

It was announced on Sunday morning that the Blues forward will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety for the hit. A hearing usually doesn't take place unless a suspension is forthcoming.
