Hall of Famer returns to Dallas to lend a helping hand

After a slow start, the Dallas Stars are starting to score, win, and, in general round into shape. Now they're getting a very experienced pair of eyes that can help them from the press box.

Sean Shapiro of the Athletic reported on Twitter that former Stars defenseman and class of 2019 Hall of Famer Sergei Zubov will be coming to Dallas at the invitation of GM Jim Nill in an advisory capacity. Zubov was let go as the head coach of HC Sochi of the KHL on October 12th.

Zubov is the all-time scoring leader among defensemen in Dallas Stars history and was an integral part of the Stars winning their only Stanley Cup in 1999. Zubov had also won a Cup with the Rangers in 1994.
