The Winnipeg Jets have provided an update on centre Bryan Little after he took a puck to the head during a game against New Jersey Tuesday night. The puck came off the stick of his own teammate Nikolaj Ehlers, who took a huge slap shot after just coming in over the blue line. Little went down immediately and had to be helped from the ice by a trainer and a teammate, while holding a towel to his head. You can see the incident below.

According to the Jets, Little was taken to St. Boniface hospital in the city where he received up to 30 stitches to close a cut on his head. He was then taken to a health sciences facility to be monitored for any signs of possible neurological damage. The team says he was alert at all times and in good spirits Wednesday morning. Obviously, at this point, there's no word on a potential return date. Winnipeg says a further update will be provided when more information becomes available.
