Philadelphia's Jakub Voracek just might be the most honest player in the NHL. Friday night, as the Flyers were taking on the New Jersey Devils, Jersey's Damon Severson got called for a high stick against Voracek late in the third with the game tied 3-3. Voracek could have easily kept his mouth shut and taken the powerplay with the prospect of winning the game. Instead, he instructed the referee that Severson's stick never touched him, and the call was reversed. Check it out.

We're sure Voracek's honesty was appreciated by the Devils, although we're not so sure his coach would be ok with it. Luckily for Voracek, the Flyers ended up winning the game 4-3 in a shootout. Regardless, it is kind of refreshing to see this kind of honesty in the NHL when so many other players are willing to sell as much as possible in order to get a call that goes their team's way.
