As per the Red Wings, Detroit forward Luke Glendening is out two to four weeks with an upper body injury. he left Wednesday's game in the second period with what is believed to be a left hand injury. Additionally, blueliner Danny DeKeyser is out for two weeks, while Justin Abdelkader is day-to-day. DeKayser suffered a lower body injury in a game against Boston Sunday.

After he set up Patrick Marleau on a goal in Montreal Thursday night, Joe Thornton and Marleau became the first players age 40 or older to factor on a goal since Ray Whitney and Jaromir Jagr on March 29th of 2013.

Pittsburgh's defenseman Zach Trotman has been placed on waivers. According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, Trotman was injured to start the season, but is ready to come back now and will likely be sent to the AHL for a conditioning stint.

Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy says David Krejci is very unlikely to play against the St. Louis Blues Saturday. Krejci suffered an upper-body injury on October 14th against the Anaheim Ducks and hasn't played since then. Joakim Nordstrom, who has been dealing with a foot injury, will be back in the lineup, and Tuukka Rask will make his 2nd straight start in net for the first time this season.
