Winnipeg's Bryan Little has been diagnosed with a concussion and won't be available for the Jets' season opener Thursday night against the New York Rangers. Little collided with Minnesota's Luke Kunin in front of his own net in a preseason game Sunday. Little left immediately and did not return. Winnipeg coach Paul Maurice called the hit "hosesh--" but TSN's Bob McKenzie says there will be no supplementary discipline for Kunin as it was viewed by the league as an accidental collision. Meanwhile, Edmonton forward Tomas Jurčo is out for Wednesday's season opener against the Vancouver Canucks. All the Oilers are saying at this point is the 26-year-old is undergoing a medical procedure and won't be available for Wednesday night. It's a tough break for Jurčo as it appeared he would be playing on a line with Edmonton star Connor McDavid.
