The patch features the Kraken's primary logo, waves from Puget Sound and Mount Rainier.
"One of our brand design tenets is sea to sky," says Drew Hamlet, Kraken art director. "We wanted to reflect the concept. Not only that the Kraken lives in Puget Sound but throughout the Pacific Northwest." "If you are wondering...yes, says Hamlet, the mountain peak rising above lettering at the top of the patch is modeled after Mt. Rainier."
Kraken fans can see the patch up-close and personal when jerseys go on sale on Wednesday, September 15th, eleven days before puck drop on their first pre-season game against the Vancouver Canucks.
Reflecting the Pacific Northwest's unique landscape, our Inaugural Season Patch aims to connect and honor our proximity to the sea, mountains and sky.
