There are many disappointed players and fans in Quebec right now as it has been announced that the Quebec Senior AAA Hockey League will not be operating at all this season. The organization announced Monday morning that it simply isn't worth doing during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We had set ourselves the goal of starting our season no later than January," said the league in a release. "The context currently (red zones, theaters, restaurants, etc. closed at least until January 11, 2021) forces us to make this decision, unfortunately."

The league consists of eight teams based in Donnacona, Granby, Joliette, La Tuque, Louiseville, Trois-Rivières, Plessisville and Saint-Hyacinthe.

"One thing is certain, one day or another we will be back," said the league. "We wish to have you all back as soon as possible, under the most normal conditions possible!"
