Though Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Rodion Amirov is an undoubtedly great talent, he still has a long way to go if he hopes to master the art of the shootout.

The 19-year-old, who is in the midst of his second KHL season with Ufa Salavat Yulaev, has had a couple cringeworthy shootout attempts this season. The embarrassing moments don't seem to bother Amirov much however, as he posted a great compilation making fun of himself on Sunday.

“It's been twelve years … this time I almost reached the net. We are working on it,” Amirov wrote.

The Russian forward has played in 23 games so far this season, posting five goals and eight points, which is a much bigger improvement from the season prior where he had just two assists in 21 contests. Leafs fans will likely get to see one of their top prospects, who was selected 15th overall at the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, represent Team Russia at the upcoming World Juniors.

The older clip Amirov shared was, of course, in response to his most recent miss in his team's shootout victory from this weekend, which can be found below.
