As of today, the Niagara IceDogs organization is in disarray. Months back, documents leaked outlining a toxic culture within the organization from the top all the way down. After finishing near the bottom of the OHL standings in 2021-22, the IceDogs selected D Sam Dickinson of the Toronto Marlboros, but reports indicate Dickinson will not report to camp, adding to the IceDogs' problems.

It has been speculated that Niagara will look to trade Dickinson's rights to the London Knights, but if no trade is able to materialize, he could be on his way to the Chicago Steel of the USHL.

After scoring 39 points in 46 games for the Marlboros, Dickinson holds the cards right now, and I can't say I blame him for refusing to report to Niagara's camp. The organization is not in a good spot, so it makes sense for him to act in his own best interests.
