The Chicago Blackhawks announced their 2022-23 broadcast crew on Thursday and among those joining the organization is three-time Stanley Cup champion Patrick Sharp.

Sharp has been hired as a TV colour commentator, a role which he will share throughout the season with former Blackhawks forward Troy Murray.

The Winnipeg native spent parts of eleven seasons with the Blackhawks during his NHL career. In 749-career games with Chicago, Sharp had 532 points (249 goals, 283 assists), 411 penalty minutes and was a plus-63. He won the Stanley Cup with them in 2010, 2013 and 2015.

Following his retirement in 2018, Sharp joined NBC Sports Chicago as a studio analyst and in 2021, he left NBC Sports for TNT, who were a part of the NHL's new US TV deal, where Sharp stayed in the same role.
