Coyotes sign 2022 eleventh overall pick Conor Geekie to entry-level contract
The Arizona Coyotes announced on Monday evening that they've signed 2022 first-round pick (eleventh overall) Conor Geekie to a three-year, entry-level contract.
"We are very pleased to sign Conor to an entry-level contract," said Coyotes General Manager Bill Armstrong. "He is a big, skilled, two-way center with good vision and a strong hockey IQ. We look forward to watching his development."
Geekie, 18, spent the 2021-22 season in the Western Hockey League with the Winnipeg Ice. In 63 games during the regular season, Geekie recorded 70 points (24 goals, 46 assists), 49 penalty minutes and was a plus-46. The Strathclair (Manitoba) native went on to add eleven points in fifteen games during the playoffs.
