A pair of veteran forwards have found their way onto the waiver wire on Thursday afternoon. According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, Brad Malone of the Edmonton Oilers and Justin Dowling of the Vancouver Canucks have been placed on waivers.

Malone, 32, signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Oilers on Thursday after spending the entire 2021-22 season on an AHL contract with the Bakersfield Condors. In twenty-six games with the Condors, Malone has twenty-six points (seven goals, nineteen assists), thirty-five penalty minutes and is a +9.

"The #Oilers have signed forward Brad Malone to a one-year, two-way contract & have placed him on waivers for the purpose of assignment to the @Condors." Edmonton said in a tweet.

Dowling, 31, signed a two-year contract worth $1.5 million ($750,000 AAV) with the Vancouver Canucks last summer. In twenty-two games this season, the Calgary (Alberta) native has four points (two goals, two assists), two penalty minutes and is a minus-three.
