Patrick Kane extended his point streak to 14 games on Friday, scoring the Blackhawks' second goal of the night, a ruthless backhand goal against Colorado Avalanche backstop Pavel Francouz.
Kane been absolutely on fire of late, registering 10 goals and 13 assists for 23 points in that span. Here's a look at his nifty backhand from last night's game:

Unfortunately, as we have seen in the past, the Blackhawks can't rely on Kane alone. The Hawks needed a much better team effort, as they came up short against the Avs by a score of 5-2.
The Blackhawks are now 10-10-5 through the club's first 25 games. If the Hawks hope to make the playoffs, they need to find a different level, especially against a division rival, such as the Avs.
