It has been an up and down season for the Ottawa Senators through the team's first 23 games this season, but with a surprising 11-11-1 record, the Sens are looking much better than expected in the early going.
With quality young players in the fold such as Brady Tkachuk, Thomas Chaot, Erik Brannstrom, Logan Brown and Colin White among others, there is a lot for Sens fans to be excited about going forward.
On Saturday morning, another development at practice should generate some excitement for the team and fans alike as forward Scott Sabourin was on the ice, taking part in drills and wearing a regular white sweater while doing so.
Earlier this month, Sabourin was involved in an ugly collision with Bruins forward David Backes, one which left Sabourin bloodied and unconscious on the ice, before being stretchered off and taken to hospital.
There is still no word as to when Sabourin will return to the Sens lineup, but his presence at practice is certainly encouraging.
