Don Cherry has issued an interesting statement from his official Twitter account. In it, he thanks people for all of the support they've given him, and says "You'll be hearing from me soon." Take a look:

Exactly what he means by that is anyone's guess at the moment. Cherry was let go from Hockey Night in Canada on Remembrance Day after going on a rant two days before regarding immigrants and poppies. He had spent close to 40 years in hockey broadcasts, and 37 doing Coach's Corner. He has done interviews with news outlets this week stating he wish he had chosen his words more wisely, adding he was willing to issue an apology on the next episode of Hockey Night in Canada, but wasn't given that opportunity. His words and dismissal have divided Canada, even those who are not big hockey fans.
