The LNAH (North American Hockey League in English) has made a decision in the matter of Jonathan Diaby following an incident last Friday evening when the Jonquière Marquis took on Les Pétroliers du Nord in Laval. Diaby, a former third round pick (64th overall) of the Nashville Predators in 2013, ended up on the penalty box and then got involved in a verbal altercation with a spectator, followed by an exchange of blows.
The LNAH, via a news release, has indicated that it will not tolerate any such incident in its league and has suspended Diaby for 10 games.
"The acts committed discredit the image of the LNAH. We all want a league with high standards and it is not with such behavior. It is inconceivable that a player will attack a fan and the LNAH will never condone that kind of behavior," said the league in its release.
