Vegas' 5-4 overtime loss to the Canadiens on Halloween night may have been a costly one. While Vegas' star goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury finished the game, it was noted by SinBin.Vegas on Friday morning that Fleury did not attend the day's practice, while back up netminder Malcolm Subban participated in his spot.
Team officials stated that Fleury simply took a maintenance day, however there is cause to remain skeptical, as the Golden Knights also recalled Garret Sparks from the Chicago Wolves on Friday morning. Sparks was recalled on an "emergency basis."
Unfortunately, there is no further information regarding Fleury's condition at this time. The Vegas Golden Knights are set to host the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday evening, and now have fans wondering who will be backstopping the team in net.
