The Calgary Flames have placed forward Tobias Reider on waivers for the purpose of reassigning him to the AHL. Reider as one goal and no assists in nine games this season. He signed with Calgary in September after a successful PTO at training camp.

According to TSN's StatsCentre, David Pastrnak's 23 points are already the most by a winger through their team's first 11 games of a season since Jaromir Jagr also had 23 to start 1999-2000. Pastrnak had five assists in Sunday's game against St. Louis.

Columbus has placed D Ryan Murray and LW Alexandre Texier on Injured Reserve. Murray will miss three to four weeks with a broken hand suffered on Saturday at Philadelphia while Texier will miss two to four weeks with a knee injury suffered on Saturday.

The Blues' Alex Steen is reportedly ok after leaving Sunday's game against the Bruins with an injury. This is good news for St. Louis, especially after announcing earlier Monday that Vladimir Tarasenko would be out for at least five months after shoulder surgery.

And Evgeni Malkin, Alex Galchenyuk, and Brian Dumoulin are all close to returning for the Pittsburgh Penguins. Malkin has missed 10 games after suffering an injury against the Columbus Blue Jackets in the Penguins' second game of the season. Glachenyuk has only played three games this season after suffering a lower body injury. And Dumoulin has missed the last four games, also due to a lower-body injury. Sportsnet is reporting that Saturday's game against Edmonton is more likely for Malkin's return. Galchenyuk and Dumoulin are game time decisions ahead of Tuesday's tilt against Philadelphia.

With Mika Zibanejad on a day-to-day status after suffering an injury against Boston, the RAngers finally recalled Filip Chytil (and Ryan Lindgren for some reason?) from the AHL. Chytil has been tearing it up since not making the team out of training camp.
