Earlier this week, Hurricanes broadcaster and television host, Mike Maniscalco was experiencing discomfort in his abdomen. After a trip to the emergency room in San Jose Wednesday, a large mass was found in his stomach. Upon the discovery, Mike was transferred to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, where he has been receiving treatment. This morning, doctors determined that Mike could return to Raleigh to undergo surgery.
Mike serves as a rinkside reporter and hosts live pre- and postgame shows for the Hurricanes. He is also the host of "Canes Corner", a radio show that helps to connect members of the Hurricanes organization and the teams fans.
